Cider Served in Red SOLD

Here it is, the final painting, I had fun with the texture of the strokes something you just can not see on a computer screen, so for those of you who live in the area if you have a chance I invite you to drop by to see it and my other work in person. This is a reminder for some of you and a first time invite for others, my Christmas Open Invitation is still on until December 25th if you are looking for a unique gift idea. email me or give me a call to arrange a visit.

For those of you who live here, stay warm, and for those of you who live in warmer climates, wish I were there it is now -26˚C yesterday it was 8 degrees colder.

Deltra this painting is gorgeous! I really like how you captured the high gloss surface of the cups 'n saucers... and the fabric folds are to real, so soft and curvy. You Go Girl!

I've only started following your blog since Carol Marine mentioned you.
I'm so impressed with this piece; for fun I went back to view your initial postings in the spring.
What amazing progress, you should be proud! Your commitment shows.

Where do I start? Ditto Kim Blair, Ms Mann et al. Wow! Great gloss reflections, the spoon is so stunning, the cinnamon sticks are just too special. I wish I were there to share a cuppa. Christmas in the summer is very WEIRD!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It is amazing how painting and posting consistently has changed my work in such a short time. It is so much fun (most of the time!) And having fellow peers out there commenting and critiquing is such a huge boost. Thanks again.

Hi Deltra! Thanks and welcome to my blog! Your paints are dynamite--this one especially! I waslistening to the Rolling Stones as I read your comment and I remember Mick Jagger saying he never liked it when their music gets really "tight." Rather he tries to keep them sounding like a really good garage band. I think I try for similar in my work.

Wow... I agree with Kim that your technique in getting that high gloss is superb!
