I like this point of view, straight on right from the top. I have done a few paintings using this perspective. It doesn't work with every subject but I think it works well with the simple shapes of these apples and dish. What do you think?

I think it works great - but you are right it works best with a simple composition. And I like the oblong size of the compostion and canvas. Great job!
